    A Monster in Paris (2011)

    7.5 out of 10

Paris,1910. Emile, a shy movie projectionist, and Raoul, a colorful inventor, find themselves embarked on the hunt for a monster terrorizing citizens. They join forces with Lucille, the big-hearted star of the Rare Bird cabaret, an eccentric scientist and his irascible monkey to save the monster, who turns out to be an oversized but harmless flea, from the city’s ruthlessly ambitious police chief.

The animation was good and the characters are enjoyable. Its a good movie indeed to watch with the kids and kids at heart!

Paramount Pushes G.I. JOE: RETALIATION Back to March 29, 2013 for 3D Conversion

BOO FOR THAT! AS IF IM GOING TO WATCH IT IN 3D!

    Men in Black III

    7 out 10

Agent J travels in time to MIB’s early years in the 1960s, to stop an alien from assassinating his friend Agent K and changing history.

It’s been 10 years since the last MIB movie was made, 3 was a good improvement. I haven’t watched it in 3D and good thing I didn’t. I can’t imagine the film in 3D. I was hopping more from the movie, more effects and of course more aliens. The only good thing in the movie was finding out what was the past of agent K and J.  At the end what a good ending for the childhood movie I had loved to watch.

    Dark Shadows (2012)

    6 out of 10

An imprisoned vampire, Barnabas Collins, is set free and returns to his ancestral home, where his dysfunctional descendants are in need of his protection.

The effects as usual are great but I was expecting more from a Tim Burton movie. Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins did some great physical comedy as well as Helena Bonham Carter as Dr. Julia Hoffman, but Dark Shadows should go back to the grave.

    Mary and Max (2009)

    8.5 out of 10

A tale of friendship between two unlikely pen pals: Mary, a lonely, eight-year-old girl living in the suburbs of Melbourne, and Max, a forty-four-year old, severely obese man living in New York.

This is made even more remarkable not only as it’s made using stop motion animation but also because of the characters and subject matter it tackles.

Mary is an 8 year old outcast living in the suburbs of Melbourne. On a whim, she chooses a name at random in a phone book and sends off a letter asking about life on the other side of the world. The letter is received by Max, an overweight depressive in his 40’s living in New York, suffering from Aspergers Syndrome. A friendship is born as the pair exchange letters over the next 20 years. offering each other support, advice and the chance to see life through another set of eyes.

It’s a must watch movie indeed! Great job!

    American Reunion (2012)

    7.5 out of 10

    The gang is back!

Jim, Michelle, Stifler, and their friends reunite in East Great Falls, Michigan for their high school reunion.

It shows the characters now and what they where back in high school and difference of their generation to this current generation. Each character shows also the typical high school reunion would be. Some are now successful and how the years had changed some of us in our lives.

I had an awesome experience seeing all the cast from the original american pie being themselves again for one more time for the reunion. Bringing back all the memories from the past and adding humor to it, like how the music of my youth referred to as “Classic Rock” in the movies was hilarious at the same time makes me feel so old. haha.

If you had watched the american pie series this will be an epic experience for you. As a fan of the series this is a worthwhile sequel, American Reunion is worth your money.

By the way, I also loved it when Neil Patrick Harris of How I met your mother makes a guest appearance. It’s because of american pie why I loved to watch HIMYM, because of Alyson Hannigan, I always say she’s from the american pie movie.

    Chronicle (2012)

    9 out of 10

Three high school friends gain superpowers after making an incredible discovery. Soon, though, they find their lives spinning out of control and their bond tested as they embrace their darker sides.

Found footage always gives me a headache but this movie is different.

A “found footage” film that is similar to Cloverfield, The Blair Witch Project, and the Paranormal Activity series.

The effects are very good, you will never expect its a low-budget thriller. The movie is well written. A lot can relate to the characters, regardless who you are, you can relate to at least one of the three main characters.

It a simple and clean movie. I really enjoyed Chronicle. Two thumbs up!

    Here on Earth (2000)

    4.5 out of 10

A rich college kid is taught a lesson after a joy ride ends up destroying a country restaurant. Falling in love with the restaurant owners daughter.

Its like a walk to remember but the bed version. nuff said.

    Species 1-4

Species is a 1995 science fiction horror film directed by Roger Donaldson, and starring Ben Kingsley, Michael Madsen, Alfred Molina, Forest Whitaker, Marg Helgenberger, and Natasha Henstridge. The film is about a group of scientists who try to track down and trap a killer alien seductress before she successfully mates with a human male.

The film produced one theatrical sequel in 1998, Species II, which had Henstridge, Madsen, and Helgenberger reprise their roles. It was followed by the direct-to-video Species III in 2004 and Species: The Awakening in 2007, which stands as a separate film, not as an official follow-up to the previous three.

    The Avengers (2012)

    10 out of 10

Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. brings together a team of super humans to form The Avengers to help save the Earth from Loki and his army.

Marvel Super Heroes, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow.

Robert Downey Jr. as Iorn Man will make you wanting more and how Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow will make you in staring in her unimaginable skills. Chris Evans as Captain America with his strength and Chris Hemsworth as Thor will just make you shaking with his unbelievable power. Lets not also forget Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, its just simple incredible and how the hulks adds the humor in the movie. Thom Hiddleston as Loki was perfect.

The movie was an awesome experiences, especially when you watch it in 3D. I can say here my money is worth it.  A must watch indeed!

    Mars Attacks! (1996)

    8 out of 10

Mars Attacks! is a American science fiction film directed by Tim Burton and based on the cult trading card series of the same name.

The Earth is invaded by Martians with irresistible weapons and a cruel sense of humor.

It is a fun film which fulfills its purpose.

The first time I watched this was at HBO, when I was young. I remembered being scared of the martians. The images got stuck on my head for days and I always look at the sky at night to see if there’s an alien invasion. LOL.

Love to watch this movie over and over again and never get sick of.
