The days are getting sunnier and longer here in San Francisco and from someone who grew up in the Philippines, I couldn’t be more excited to welcome the warming weather. I get to feel the sun again on my face while running, enjoy the natural light in my kitchen while cooking, and travel to different places while enjoying the outdoors with family and friends.
On top of the warmer temperatures, I’m also excited to participate at upcoming food events. I love the energy of cooking live with an audience and meeting people face to face. There’s so much in store for Astig Vegan and the year is just getting started! So far, I’ll be at the Earth Day Festival, Asian Art Museum Night Market, Menlo Park Library Cooking Demo, and Kain Vegan Potluck. I feel incredibly lucky and blessed to have these opportunities. My hope is that one day I get to bring Astig Vegan to other parts of the world.
Aside from these food events, the wedding planning is in full swing. I’m busily putting all the major parts together including the food, venue, music, dress, and other exciting things. But most importantly, both Chris and I are excited to be celebrating our first day as husband and wife in the presence of our loved ones.
After the wedding, Chris and I will visit Paris and Rome for our honeymoon. Please feel free to send us recommendations on where to go for vegan food or for any places worth checking out. We have never been in Paris and Rome but we’ve always wanted to. I think our honeymoon will be the perfect reason to finally visit there.
Last but not least, I am gearing up to launch new recipes soon. These past several months have been all about sharing existing recipes and I’m glad that you have welcomed them in your kitchen. Seeing photos of your dishes brings me so much joy. But I think it’s time for new ones to share with you and your loved ones. I won’t be sharing any details yet because the episodes are not done. But please stay tuned for the official launch.
